Step by step

How to turn a 3D floor plan into a room photograph

    Drop in the 3D view

    The view floor plan to 3D view just made, or any overhead view of a whole property with the roof off. The layout and the materials both come from it.

  2. Step 2

    Name the room

    The kind of room, and where the property has more than one of them, which one by its place on the view. That second pick is optional and most homes do not need it.

    Run it once per room

    Each photograph is read off the same view, so a whole set holds together well enough to cut into one walk-through.

What comes back reads as a photograph of a home nobody has photographed, and the listing rules in the US and the UK were written for exactly that case. Label it as computer-generated when you publish it.

One property, one palette

Every shot is read off the same view, so six rooms share one floor, one wall colour and one set of materials. Six separate style pickers do not.

Say which room you mean

Where the home has three bedrooms, name the one you want by where it sits on the view. Two runs then come back as two different rooms rather than the same one twice.

Framed as a listing photograph

Camera at about a metre and a half, held level so the verticals stay vertical, in the corner that shows the most of the room, landscape rather than portrait.

Questions

Specific to 3d plan to room photo.

Does it need the original 2D plan as well?

No. The 3D view already carries the layout and the materials, so Miravely reads both off that one image: one upload per room photograph, not two.

How do six rooms end up matching?

Because Miravely styles none of them again. The floor, the wall colour and the fitted finishes are read off the view you supply, so every room you shoot from that one view shares them.

What if the property has three bedrooms?

Name which one by where it sits on the view: top left, centre, bottom right, or simply the largest. Without that Miravely chooses for itself, and two runs can come back as the same room.

Is the room really that size?

Treat the photograph as a visualisation. Miravely sizes the furniture against the room and the room follows the view, but nothing is measured, so it is not evidence of floor area.

What does it cost?

It depends on the engine and the quality you pick, and both are listed in the settings block on this page with the credit price of each. Miravely shows the exact figure in the studio before you generate, never after, and a new account starts with free credits to try it with.
